In Shadow of Legend, you are allowed to forge weapons, armors, clothes, and so on, as long as you have the materials needed to make the items.  "How do I attain the materials?" some may ask. Easy, you attain them by collecting.

Collecting means that you must travel, hunt, and search for materials across maps.  The more maps you visit, the more variety of materials you'll run into.  The materials you are allowed to collect in Shadow of Legend include minerals, woods, furs, and leather.　 

1. Different materials require different tools to collect them.
2. When you are collecting a material, you can collect only 1 - 3 pieces at a time.
3. Material sometimes needs to be compounded multiple times if you want to make your desired item.  Each time you successfully compound, your collecting skill increases by 1 point, and the higher your collecting life skill, the better the quality of the material you are allowed to collect.
4. In order to collect, you must double click on the object to collect materials from it.
5. One packet of material held in you inventory can hold up to 30 pieces.
6. Leather you can attain from dead Humanoids, while furs can be attained from dead monsters.
